Mahama Is Keeping ₵550M Salaries At The Jubilee House, Meant for Revoked Appointees – Abronye DC Alleges

Your “Black Powers” Can’t Break Me- Abronye Tells John Mahama

Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, has made some damning allegations against the government of President John Dramani Mahama.

In an interview with Kweku Dawuro on Movement in the Morning show on Movement TV, Abronye claimed that the recruitment of government appointees is tainted with corruption.

According to Abronye, the revocation of appointments is a ploy to steal state money, as appointees are typically paid one to two months’ salary before their appointment. He questioned how the government intends to pay these individuals.

Abronye also criticized President Mahama’s directive to sack over 15,000 citizens, including teachers and nurses, who were employed after the election. He noted that the former Minister of Finance had included these employees in the budget, and their dismissal is therefore unjustified.

Furthermore, Abronye alleged that President Mahama, together with appointees like Samuel Ablakwa, has misused state funds to travel abroad, citing a trip to Germany that cost over $5,000 per diem for over 26 delegations going to accompany Mahama.

He also claimed that the President has stored over GH¢550 million in a van at the Jubilee House, meant to pay the over 15,000 individuals whose appointment are being revoked by Mahama and the NDC, which is used to fund these lavish trips.

Abronye expressed concern that the dismissal of employees, including those with disabilities, violates the Constitution’s Labour Act, Section 51. He also alleged that the National Security has depleted the national accounts, leaving public hospitals without even basic medical supplies like paracetamol.
