In a video that has since gone viral, Kwesi Ahwoi, one of the three Ahwoi brothers, is seen praying for Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang to take over from John Mahama in case the party succeeds at the polls.
“Mahama was not prepared to be president at that time, but nature skewed things in such a way that President Mills had to give way to John Mahama” Kwesi Ahwoi is seen in the video making these remarks.
He continued to emphasize that anything could happen and urged Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang to ready herself for the high office of the presidency as MAHAMA’s successor.
“Anything can happen so Naana, be ever prepared like your motto said. Be ready, anything can happen and you can become the president of the Republic of Ghana” Kwesi Ahwoi stated.
The Ahwoi brothers who engineered the coming into office of President John Evans Atta-Mills of blessed memory, also made sure that John Mahama stuck with almost 73-year old Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.
Her choice as the running mate to John Mahama has been received with mixed feelings with a larger majority of the members of the opposition party not happy with the choice.
These comments by Kwesi Ahwoi, exposes the ultimate goal of the Ahwoi brothers. Many are of the opinion that the Ahwoi brothers believe since Mills didn’t finish his tenure, they have an unfinished business, hence the machinations to force Naana Jane down the throat of John Mahama.
It could also be deduced that, there are plans by the Ahwoi brothers to kick out John Mahama and have him replaced by Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang so that their unfinished business could be finished.
Tongues are wagging as to which methodology the Ahwoi brothers intend to deploy to get their dream realized by removing John Mahama from office.
Close associates of John Mahama are expressing concern about what Kwesi Ahwoi said in the video.
“This is nothing comforting. It is alarming, and to think that it was even said in public makes it more disturbing. But we are happy that we know what some people are planning” a Mahama aide stated.
