The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Wontumi, has made some bold claims about the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Movement TV.
According to him, Lordina Mahama, wife of former President John Mahama, has been absent from the campaign trail because she knows her husband can’t win.
Chairman Wontumi alleges that Lordina has lost confidence in the NDC’s chances, leading to a halt in campaigning efforts.
Chairman Wontumi also questioned the NDC’s strategy, suggesting they’ve stopped campaigning and instead plan to buy votes on election day. He noted that Lordina Mahama’s absence, combined with the NDC’s lack of campaign efforts, indicates they’re not confident in their chances.
” While Dr. Bawumia and his Samira Bawumia, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and his wife are busily campaigning, Mahama and the NDC cannot relate. Mahama goes on one campaign trail, and he comes back home to rest for two weeks. Is this the kind of campaign they are expecting to win the December polls with,” he spoke to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV.
