Actor Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin has reportedly taken significant steps to compensate the family of the late 3-year-old Nana Yaw Ampomah, who tragically lost his life in a car accident involving LilWin’s vehicle.
Despite ongoing legal proceedings at the Asokore Mampong District Court, LilWin has been proactive in fulfilling promises made to the grieving family.
According to a close family source, LilWin has replaced the destroyed Hyundai Santa Fe belonging to Nana Yaw’s father with a brand new one.
Additionally, he provided the family with GH¢50,000 and an additional GH¢45,000 to cover funeral and hospital expenses.
Understanding the family’s loss, especially since Nana Yaw was a third child born after twins, LilWin has also committed to supporting the surviving twins as part of his efforts to assist the family.
The case, which had been under review by the Attorney General’s Office, was scheduled for trial on August 26, 2024.
However, the proceedings were adjourned to September as the judge and the deceased’s family were absent from court, though LilWin was present.
This follows his earlier release on bail by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command in Kumasi after the June 3 accident, with a bail set at GH¢50,000 and two sureties.
