The newly elected Chairman of the Manhyia South Constituency of the NPP, Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta popularly known as “Tomtom” has charged his colleague executives who were elected on Thursday to join him to consciously lead with unity and discipline.

He noted by that they would be able to lead the good people of the New Patriotic Party effectively and efficiently.

Addressing a charged crowd mostly party members after the incident free polls at the Dunwell Methodist Church at Dichemso, “Tomtom” promised to lead the NPP with dynamism and proactive action.

“I promise all of you that every decision of our administration will be by consensus and as constituency executives we will lead with unity and discipline and ensure that Manhyia South becomes the yardstick to be used in measuring good administration in the NPP”, Mr Ofori-Atta stressed.

INTERFERENCE:
The newly elected Chairman said the executives are committed to using the party’s constitution to govern activities in the constituency.

This, he said would mean that they would not countenance any interference in their administration by any regional or national executive.

He said once they were committed to using the party’s constitution no one would be allowed to dictate to them on what they do at the constituency.

“We plan to use solely the party’s constitution to administer our duties as we also deploy strict discipline to manage the party’s  affairs so we would not need anyone to dictate to us as to what we should do in our constituency”, the Chairman noted.

ELECTIONS:
Earlier on in the day, the Electoral Commission backed by the Elections Committee of Manhyia South NPP smoothly conducted the elections for positions that were under contest including the Secretary, Treasurer, Women’s Organiser, youth organiser and 2nd Vice chairman.

At close of polls, these were the full compliment of the Manhyia South Constituency Executive; Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta, Chairman,  Seth Twumasi, 1st Vice Chairman,
Kingsley Kyeretwie Bonsu, 2nd Vice, Alhaji Abubakari, Organiser, Henry Adu Kobi, youth organiser, Mary Coker, Women’s Organiser, Haruna Alhassan, Secretary, Oscar Boah, Deputy Secretary, Kofi Amoah Asamoah, Treasurer and Alhaji Bashiru, Nasara Coordinator.

Speaking to this reporter, Nana Ama Ampomah, the regional representative on the election committee commended members of Manhyia South NPP for conducting themselves very well in the processes of the election.

She tasked the newly elected executives to lead with unity and attend to their mandates with diligence.
