Real Madrid’s quest to win back-to-back La Liga titles will see them head to Osasuna in this Matchday, while rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona face clashes against Celta Vigo and Rayo Vallecano respectively.

Real have hit upon a greater sense of consistency in recent weeks, with manager Carlo Ancelotti finding a better balance between attack and defence, while Kylian Mbappe has shown flashes of the genius everyone knows he is capable of.
Los Blancos will be confident of another three-point haul late on Saturday afternoon when they face Osasuna at El Sadar Stadium – with the team from the capital city unbeaten in this rivalry dating back all the way to 2011.
“Mbappe is bringing a lot to the team, he’s been getting into a rhythm for a couple of months,” said Ancelotti of his French forward.
“Little by little we’ve got into a good rhythm, we’ve got into a good dynamic and that’s great to see. As I have been saying, we are improving in the aspects that undermined us in previous games. And we must continue as we try to improve and correct some of the problems we still have.”
Atletico Madrid will be in action soon after Real’s clash at Osasuna, as the Rojiblancos host Celta Vigo at the Metropolitano Stadium, while Barcelona will have to wait until Monday night for their clash at home to Rayo Vallecano.
Barca, as a team which relies so heavily on young players such as Lamine Yamal, has naturally had fluctuations in form, but coach Hansi Flick is determined to see his side challenge for the title all the way to the end of the season.
“We need fresh legs [for the next match]… we have a few changes in the team and we will see,” the German said. “For me it’s very important to win every game. And that’s how we want to approach it. We always think about the next one.”
Another key match this weekend pits Villarreal against Valencia at the Ceramica Stadium, with the Yellow Submarine hoping to further boost their own European hopes, while also delivering another blow to Los Che in their battle against the threat of relegation.
“We have the utmost confidence in this group, both in terms of ability and attitude. We have to keep working to be better, to get more points than in the second half of the season,” said Villarreal manager Marcelino Garcia Toral.
