The mechanics who numbered over one thousand were heard chanting, “Nana o, Yenye wo den ni, wo ye bue!!!. Yempe mortuary, yepe free education to give Nana Addo a rousing welcome.
He told the huge crowd in his address monitored by Nana Owusu Achiaw that the effect of the chants on him was exhilarating.
“I’ve developed goose bumps all over my body but the feeling amongst you should translate into boom, boom, boom votes to make the “four more for Nana to do more” not a mere slogan but a war cry that demands action on the political battleground”.
President Akufo-Addo appealed to the people to vote for the Member of Parliament for Suame constituency, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as well as his counterpart for Old Tafo, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assefuah.
“It will pose a serious challenge for me in particular, and the party in general, if you don’t vote for them. ” he declared.
He pleaded that, on Monday the same crowd which gathered to welcome him should be the same crowd to vote for him .
