Kokofu Congratulates NPP PC for Kumawu

The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Hon. Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has charged the winner of last Sunday’s parliamentary primary of the ruling New Patriotic Party for the Kumawu Constituency, Mr. Ernest Anim, to work towards fostering unity amongst the support base to ensure emphatic victory.

Mr. Ernest Anim emerged the candidate elect for the NPP, after defeating five other candidates, to represent the ruling party for the Kumawu constituency by-elections slated for May 23, 2024.

Hon. Dr. Kokofu, who is a former MP for Bantama, says unity in the constituency will be key to ensuring a resounding victory.

According to the EPA Executive Director, the Kumawu by-election will be a strong test case for the ruling NPP, stressing that “all individuals who contested in the primary must unite behind the winner for the bigger cause”

Hon. Kokofu, who was at Kumawu Constituency on Sunday to support the exercise, noted that the government, through the hard work of the President, His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President, Hon. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, the country will soon overcome the current economic challenges and emerge victorious in the long run.

The EPA Director further advised the newly elected parliamentary candidate to emulate the hard work and commitment of the Vice President and work accordingly to achieve resounding results for the NPP.

“You should know by now that you have a lot of responsibility as the candidate of the NPP going into this election. The election will be a minor referendum on the performance of the government, it is therefore important that we all work hard to sustain the momentum and ensure massive victory” he noted.
