KOKA Renders Official Apology To Ohemaa Mercy

Entertainment pundit cum marketer, Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu also known as KOKA, has publicly apologised to Ohemaa Mercy following his release.

KOKA was granted bail of GH¢2,000 a few days ago after being arrested for allegedly threatening the gospel musician’s life.

In an official statement on his Facebook page on September 27, 2024, KOKA expressed regret for his actions and thanked his supporters.

“Friends and fans of KOKA… I am safely back from hibernation. Although it was not a pleasant experience, I am a better person. God knew what He was doing. I thank you all for your love and support.

“To everyone I unconsciously wronged, including Ohemaa, I sincerely apologize. And to those who made me suffer, I wholeheartedly forgive… This is water under the bridge—it flows forward and never comes back. Watch this space… I love you all,” he posted.

What happened?

The legal battle between KOKA and Ohemaa Mercy began after he recently ended their working relationship and attempted to reclaim funds he claimed she owed him.

KOKA, who had served as Ohemaa Mercy’s road manager and marketer, ended their working relationship after alleging that she took on projects without his involvement.

The situation escalated when KOKA demanded payment of his GH¢8,500 and when Ohemaa Mercy hesitated to settle the debt, he reportedly issued threats both online and privately.

It was also disclosed in court that KOKA threatened to send thugs after Ohemaa Mercy if she did not pay the outstanding sum, prompting her to file a police complaint.

Court proceedings revealed that KOKA had given her a deadline to pay the debt or face consequences.

In his defense, he pleaded not guilty to charges of threatening harm.

He asserted that his intentions were solely to retrieve the money he believed was owed to him and that he had no intention of causing harm.
