A member of the NPP communications team, Nyamesem, has questioned the integrity of Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyabeng.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Nyamesem noted that Agyabeng’s declaration of Ofori Atta as a fugitive was unjustified and may have been made under the influence.
“If he wasn’t tipsy, he wouldn’t have said that. If he was going to declare someone a fugitive, it should have been Sedinam Tamakloe, who has been jailed yet is out of the country,” Nyamesem stated.
Nyamesem further criticized Agyabeng’s actions, stating that the Special Prosecutor’s office had tarnished Ofori Atta’s image with the declaration, which was reported by the BBC.
“What was he demanding from Ofori Atta that he sent people to ransack his home?” Nyamesem asked. “Later, he claimed he knew nothing about it… If he wasn’t tipsy, I’m sure he’s trying to feel relevant to get John Mahama’s attention.”
Nyamesem emphasized that Agyabeng’s integrity is at stake and suggested that he should travel to the USA to confirm Ofori Atta’s hospitalization.
Despite the elections being over, Nyamesem cautioned that the NPP must remain vigilant, as the NDC has an agenda.
