Former Director general of Maritime Authority and campaign manager for Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, Kwame Owusu, says Kennedy Agyapong will be the best person to continue the good works of the New Patriotic Party.
In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Wontumi In The Morning on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Kwame Owusu acknowledged Honorable Kennedy Agyapong as the right person fit for the Presidential mantle to be handed down to. He noted that Kennedy Agyapong’s motive for running the race towards becoming the next President is because of the interests of Ghanaians he has at heart, and his willingness to fix things for the better.
He stated that ”Hon Ken is a business man and the reason for rejecting the ministerial position is because he wanted to avoid any conflict of interest. The reason he is a Presidential candidate is because you know he has been in government for about 23years without any challenge so he has quite an experience.
He has led communications in defense and intelligence amongst others, but when he checks where the NPP has gotten to and wants to break the 8, he wants to do something to glorify President Akuffo Addo. With the hardship in the economy and worldwide, everyone in economic management team is not attractive anymore, so he thought is wise to save the party and aid breaking the eight and continue the good work of the NPP.”
