A senior Lawyer with Dominion Chambers, William Kusi, has advised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to settle on Hon. Kennedy Agyapong as their next flagbearer.
His reason for the advice stems from the similar character traits the Member of Parliament for Assin Central shares with the late former President Jerry John Rawlings whose appeal cut across the masses.
Speaking on Wontumi TV on Monday, January 9, 2023, lawyer Kusi Boafo maintained that the NPP is faced with settling on Hon. Kennedy Agyapong as their flagbearer or risking going to opposition.
According to him, “NPP has only one candidate, it is either him (Kennedy) or they choose to be in opposition.”
He also added that 80% of lawyers in Ashanti region have endorsed Mr. Kennedy Agyapong and added that some cadres in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were also convinced he would perform like the late Jerry John Rawlings.
