Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North constituency, Hon Andy Appiah -Kubi has refused to share his two scents on the quest to kick Ken Ofori Atta out of office.
In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio on Thursday, June 7 2023, Hon Appiah Kubi declined to give his take on the Minister of Finance, Hon Ken Ofori Atta stepping down from his position.
According to him he is in no position to determine the finance minister’s fate in parliament.
”I’m happy you brought the chronology of events before putting across the question. As you just said that some members of Parliament including myself at the end, spoke on behalf of us all. Since then it hasn’t been a personal issue rather that of majority. When there is an issue and it gets to the majority level, they are the ones who finalise it because everything is directed to them and not to individual members.
I don’t possess the majority mandate to speak to them. It is a majority decision so i am the wrong person to answer this question so if you want anyone’s opinion, it should be Honorable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and even with him i’m sure he would have to go back to his people to get their final say before communicating to you,” he claimed.
