The Police Service has announced the arrest of three suspects in connection with the robbery of a Mobile Money vendor at Kasoa in the Greater Accra Region.
The robbery incident happened on December 20.
“Police investigations so far indicate that the suspects, armed with a pump-action gun concealed in a baby diaper sack, attacked and shot a mobile money merchant, at his business centre.”
The victim was also robbed of an unspecified amount of money per the police report.
Following an investigation into the incident, the three suspects namely Michael Otu, Godfred Okine and Asaa Faisal- alleged mastermind- were arrested.
One other suspect is at large and being pursued, say the police.
Suspect Godfred is reported to have died after complaining of ill health.
The rest of the suspects were arraigned before the Ofaakor District Court on December 29, where they were remanded into Police custody to reappear in court on January 12, 2023.
Meanwhile, the injured victim is receiving medical treatment and is in stable condition, according to the police.
