Chairman Wontumi should be judged in the political space based on his political contributions to the New Patriotic Party and not over rent issues, Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo has said.
Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo who is a senior lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KSTU) stated on Wontumi TV’s Talk Ghana Show that it is “unfair, barbaric and senseless telling the world that Chairman Wontumi owes rent”.
Some persons believed to have an eye on the Ashanti regional Chairmanship position have been cooking up false stories about Chairman Wontumi.
They have alleged that Chairman Wontumi owes rent on a property he personally hired for a period of 10 years for the party to use as regional office.
But Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo rubbished the allegations stating that if it is even true Chairman Wontumi owes rent, then the persons interested in his position, should offer to pay what is owed.
“The minority noise makers should know that Chairman Wontumi is formidable and when it comes to breaking the 8, NPP can’t do without Chairman Wontumi. We don’t have time for a novice”, he fumed.
