All was not gay on the face of Olu Jacobs’ better half Joke Silva as she sat to speak on her husband’s health and general well being.
She seems to be going through a roller coaster of emotions as she appeared unsettled talking about unfortunate incidences that have taken place in her life these couple of years.
She spoke on job opportunities she lost and how her sister was also unfortunately diagnosed with cancer in 2019.
Her husband’s illness could not enable her take care of her sister till she passed away.
Losing a sibling is not the easiest pain to navigate through and coupling that with Olu Jacobs’ deteriorating health must have had a toll on her.
She also spoke on how she lost a child 20 years ago and how that grief never really goes away.
She spoke on how she accidentally found out she was adopted at 9 months old and how her adopted parents kept it away from her till she had to find out.
Now to perhaps the toughest topic to speak on and the elephant in the room, she was asked about the health condition of her husband.
She admitted that he is dealing with illness and it has been going on for a couple of years now.
She mentioned the illness as dementia with lewy body which is also known as Lewy body dementia and it is associated with problems with mental abilities caused by gradual changes and damage in the brain.
She heaved a heavy sigh at the fact that it is the first time she said that out publicly and was clearly going through a host of emotions as those words flew out of her mouth.
We pray for health and strength for her and her dearly beloved as it must not be an easy time in all aspects.
