A former deputy General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, is predicting that John Mahama would suffer humiliation in his political career like Donald Trump is experiencing.
The NPP stalwart in an interview on Wontumi TV’s State of Ghana show, emphatically stated that former President John Mahama’s hopes would be dashed if he is looking forward to capitalize on the global hardships to comeback to power.
He used the midterm elections in the USA to highlight his point noting that just as GOP has been humiliated by the Democrats, Mr. Mahama should expect the same to hit the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In the aftermath of the midterm elections, the Democrats retained control of the upper chamber, the Senate.
The Republicans, however secured 218 seats needed for a majority in the lower chamber of Congress.
The Republicans had hoped to win back control of both chambers but underperformed.
