Before President Akufo-Addo took over as President of Ghana, former President John Mahama had already signed Ghana unto IMF for a financial bailout, a University lecturer has declared.
Dr. Samson Anoma has called on Ghanaians to applaud the administration of President Akufo-Addo for exhibiting bravery in seeking IMF’s support for a financial bailout.
“They are brave to have listened to the masses and gone for IMF”, Dr. Anoma said as he discussed the domino effect of Covid 19 and the Russia-Ukraine war on Ghana’s economy.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, the lecturer highlighted that “IMF is a bank for all” adding that “when NPP came to power, John Mahama was already there so they (NPP) had to renegotiate and extend it to 2018. It is out of love, we are going there.”
