The Ashanti Regional Chairman of Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Kofi Owusu Omar, has revealed that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) goes around begging chiefs to say good things about him during his tours.
Chairman Kofi Owusu Omar an avid Muslim in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, stated that before former President John Dramani Mahama and his campaign team visit an area, they send people to hold private discussions with the chief of the area and plead with him to say good things about Mr. Mahama.
“Before John Mahama goes anywhere he sends people to go and beg chiefs not to speak bad about them”, the GCPP executive stated on the show.
He also described the governance and leadership of the NDC leader as one that lacked direction.
Chairman Owusu Omar explained that just as polythene bags aimlessly obey the direction of wind, the government of John Mahama did same.
“John Mahama’s leadership was like a plastic or polythene bag. He went anywhere the wind blew him and his government to. This is a man who is talking about not willing to invest 2 billion in Ghana’s education but his government invested 5 billion in banks but in the end, he collapsed all the banks”, he said.
