Well-known pollster Ben Ephson has predicted that President Nana Akufo-Addo stands to gain votes from loyalists of ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, following the latter’s death.
Speaking on an Accra based radio station which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, the owner of the Daily Dispatch newspaper emphatically likened the death of Rawlings to “pouring sand in the gari of John Mahama”.
According to him, three out of ten loyalist of the late former President, would be voting for President Akufo-Addo instead of casting their ballot for the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress.
“If you should assemble 10 loyalists of Rawlings, 3 would be voting for President Akufo-Addo”, Ben Ephson said in the interview.
