Aside Jean Mensa having swag, she deserves a special award for her excellent leadership as Chairperson for the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has proposed.
“We must find an award for Jean Mensa. She is the only Electoral Commissioner who has come to serve her nation well”, the New Patriotic Party Chairman said on Wontumi TV last Saturday.
According to the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, prior to the 2020 general elections, Ghanaians used to form long queues before they could cast their ballot.
But under the leadership of Jean Mensa, Chairman Wontumi explained that things have changed for the better and a massive improvement has been attached to the way elections are held in Ghana.
“In 1992, we used to form long queue but under her (Jean) things have been made swift. Before the challenges COVID-19 posed before the registration process begun, members of the NDC doubted her ability but she ended up making things better”, Chairman Wontumi said.
He went on to claim that there is a deliberate plot by the NDC to dent the image of Jean Mensa but added that it won’t work because “the woman has proven she is intelligent than them”.
Chairman Wontumi ended by stating that it is only under the leadership of Jean Mensa that Ghanaians have been able to access information on their voters’ register online.
