Jane Naana Doesn’t Deserve The Accolade, “Obaatan Pa”- MASLOC Boss Argues

The Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Nhyiaeso Constituency, Stephen Amoah , fondly called Sticker, has said that, in terms of performance the NDC is deficient and bereft of ideas and would have made Ghana poorer if it was still in government.

According to Mr Amoah , the education and health sectors harbour most of the challenges facing the country even though they provide key indicators in measuring how the economy of a country is performing.

Speaking with Yaa Konamah on an Accra-based TV he quizzed why Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang a Former Minister of Education and the running mate of the opposition NDC;s Running Mate be described as “ Obaatan Pa “ even though she was in charge of the Education portfolio when the NDC took a decision during cabinet meeting not to pay the allowances of teachers and nurses allowances.

Gaining the goodwill and trust of the people to vote for you is not about talking too much and lying to the people but rather through their assessment of a ruling party’s performance especially with respect to how their lives have been improved.

He added that, the NDC has a perception that Ghanaians have weak mind but they need to be told that Ghanaians have come to appreciate the difference between NDC and the NPP.

“It is only those who think of their own selfish interests who will still be having an illusion that Ghanaians have no retentive memory and as such can take them for granted.”

He also said that, the NPP has a good record when it comes to delivering on promises and general performances and these underscore the ruling government’s hope of retaining power come the December elections.

“There is no basis to even compare the NDC to the NPP because the ruling government has a record that the NDC in its eight years in office cannot match.” He stressed.

He said that, the NPP government has done a lot of in terms of the provision of infrastructural projects and social intervention programmes and they will continue to do more.

“Everybody, no matter where the person resides in the country, knows about the good works by the NPP government and the happiness they have brought to families.”

He said another significant achievement of the NPP government is that under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration employment opportunities have been provided to trained teachers as well as settling the arrears of teachers which the NDC government failed to do.

“The NDC could not employ 10% of teachers because of lack of policy credibility.” He noted
