The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has prayed to the court to sentence Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo to prison following his intent which was captured in an audio recording to carry out criminal activities in Ghana.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, the NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi stated that the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress deserves to be in prison just like Bill Cosby was treated in the United States.
His comment comes on the back of the High Court’s decision to admit the alleged audio recording of Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo as evidence.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo was captured on the tape planning an attack on individuals including the Electoral Commission (EC) chair and the Chairman of the National Peace Council among others.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo is heard clearly in the audio saying that “the EC chair, we must wage a relentless war against her. We need to take her to the cleaners.”
He is also heard saying, “We will go after them. We will not go after them face to face. We will target some people to make them feel their lives are in danger.
“We should also not spare the CSOs and religious groups. Especially the peace council chairman. For the first time I will endorse insults”.
