Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Takehiro Tomiyasu has picked up an injury in his calf.
The Japanese defender was unavailable for the 4-3 win over Luton Town on Tuesday after he limped off against Wolves last weekend.
Tomiyasu is now set for a spell on the sidelines as the December fixtures come thick and fast for the Gunners.
“We had a scan, and it’s not good news.
“He’s got an injury in his calf, and he’s going to be out for a while,” Arteta said.
Arsenal went five points clear with the thrilling victory and are away to Aston Villa in their next league game.
