It Wasn’t Deliberate To Enliven Dr Bawumia- NPP MP Clears Air
A Member of Parliament for the New Edubiase Constituency, Hon. Nana Ayew Afriye says it wasn’t a planned attempt to cheer up Dr Bawumia at the NPP National Delegates Conference.
According to Hon. Nana Ayew Afriye, the MPs didn’t do that to incite fear among the other contenders.
Speaking on the Monday edition of Wontumi Radio Morning Show, he indicated a section of the MPs who due to some reasons forfeited the Conference are upset about what developed.
“The MPs are upset because should they have known this was what will happen yesterday they would have stricken to come and I’m going to apologise to them,” he explained.
When Oheneba Nana Asiedu, host of the Show asked the Effiduase Asokore MP that, will the Ashanti Regional MPs rally behind the Vice President in his quest to be the flagbearer, he was quick to say that, “it’s excellent and nobody is doubting that.”
“Anybody whom Ashanti MPs will love at a conference subsequently goes on to win the primaries, he said.
Hon. Nana Ayew Afriye appealed to the competitors to be mindful of their utterances,” because whether they like it or not, it’s science and data that Bawumia will emerge as the flagbearer.”
