Government’s Spokesperson, Kofi Tonto, has blamed James Gyakye Quayson’s irresponsible behavior for getting him in his current situation with the law.
He told Oheneba on Movement In The Morning, which airs on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, about the appalling behavior of the Member of Parliament for Assin North regarding his court case, in relation to his dual citizenship.
According to Kofi, Gyakye Quayson has zero respect for the law of Ghana and the people of Assin North constituency.
He asserted that ”this is not an issue to be going back and forth with, because it was since 2012 that he decided to become an MP. How then do you wait till 2019 before starting a process, so when we speak of someone who does not regard the law, it is you because in 2012 you that is what you showed us, same as 2016 and 2019.
What he told us was that he was making arrangement and by the time the election is done, he would have qualified. There is no sense in it so it is his irresponsible behavior that has gotten him into this situation.”
