‘It Hasn’t Been Easy Raising Four Kids Alone’ – Kwaku Manu On Single Parenting

Actor Kwaku Manu has opened up about his experience raising his four children single-handedly.

Separated and divorced from his wife over three years ago, Kwaku Manu has shared the challenges and rewards of parenting on his own.

In an interview with Zionfelix, he disclosed the difficulties of raising his kids without their mother’s presence.

“It’s not easy to raise kids alone, especially if their mothers are not around,” he stated in an interview with Zionfelix.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining strict rules in his home as one of the ways he has adopted to ensure respect and discipline.

“What makes it easier for me is that there are rules in my home. My kids are not allowed to behave anyhow or disrespect the people that take care of them in my home,” he said.

Addressing the issue of women who leave their children with men, Manu added, “If you abandon them, I’ll take them in.”

Discussing his relationship with his children, the Kumawood actor described them as his closest friends.

“They are my friends, my happiness. We’re always excited to see each other. I spend most of my time with them at home because I’m not the type to go out and chill recklessly. I’m not a careless dad,” he noted.

Background:

Following their divorce over three years ago, Naa Okailey Nyarko, Kwaku Manu’s ex-wife, has recently remarried, this time to a white man.

Their separation was publicly confirmed by Manu in a 2022 interview with Kobby Kyei.

While the actor did not disclose the reasons for their split, he mentioned that despite their efforts to sustain the marriage, they ultimately decided to part ways.

He also highlighted that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to a successful marriage, as each relationship is unique.
