Internal Contest Shouldn’t Divide Us, We Must Protect Bawumia From NDC Attacks- Raphael Sarfo

A staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Raphael Patrick Sarfo, is calling on all members of his party to unite and protect Vice President Bawumia from the vicious attacks of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking on Wontumi TV, Raphael Sarfo mentioned that he has chanced upon videos that shows a clear intent of the NDC led by former President John Mahama and Mr. Kwesi Pratt to denigrate the integrity of Vice President Bawumia.

“Because of internal contest, some NPP members who are not in Bawumia’s camp don’t care when Kwesi Pratt is insulting him. We must unite as a party and defend the Vice President”, he proposed as ways to stop the NDC from making the Vice President their target.

Speaking on the same show, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo branded Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, as a treasure whose existence in the political space is creating mountainous problems for former President John Mahama and his friend Kwesi Pratt.

Mr. Kusi Boafo stated that “the Vice President is a serious treasure so they (NDC) want to dismantle him because they think doing so would help them.”

According to him, the selection of Bawumia as a running mate and subsequently a Vice President to President Akufo-Addo, has dismantled the ethnicity propaganda the NDC used to tag the NPP with.

“Bawumia is wearing the crown, when NDC used to use the Northern-Southern choice of candidate to campaign against NPP, but Bawumia has dismantled it”, Mr. Kusi Boafo said.

He also praised the Vice President who is a staunch Muslim for breaking the religious barrier and jelling with Christians.

“He can go to church as well, he has broken that barrier and made the Chief imam also enter churches”, he explained.

Finally, he described Bawumia as man who well accepted in the intellectual world than John Mahama and added that he has several advantages which is appealing to the youth as well.
