Inflation To Return To Normalcy In September- Deputy Finance Minister

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Lawyer John Kumah has hinted that from September, the prices of goods and services will be stable.

He said inflation surged as a result of the measures the government introduced in the fight against the COVID-19.

In an interview on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show, Lawyer John Kumah said “beginning of the year government introduced new tax and the inflation at that time was 7.5℅ and it reflected on goods and services.”

The Deputy Minister of Finance indicated that the no introduction of new tax has contributed to the decline of inflation.

The Ejisu MP appealed to Ghanaians to calm down on the surge in inflation because everything is under control.
