A legal Private Practitioner, William Kusi has advised the New Patriotic Party (NPP), especially delegates, to ensure that they retain the incumbent Ashanti Regional Chairman for the party in the upcoming regional elections.
He explained to Kwaku Dawuro on MOVEMENT IN THE MORNING political show that breaking the 8 mantras by the NPP is a very tough decision and as such, it must ensure that it maintains an already tried and tested candidate.
“The chairmanship race is so tight, but this is a very crucial moment for the NPP, as it intends to break the eight, therefore you should maintain the tried and tested candidate,” he said.
He was quick to add that Chairman Wontumi has some potential the party could build on. “This is not the time for an experiment, you can make an experiment after the party breaks the eight,” he added.
According to the Legal Private Practitioner, Wontumi has performed tremendously for the party in the Ashanti region even with the 2020 elections. “Moreover, Ashanti region is the heartbeat of the NPP, therefore the party should ensure nothing affects its vote pattern in the region”, he added.
“Politics is not about English and Qualification. There is more to it,” he noted.
