Ignore The Malicious Propaganda Targeting Me -Chairman, West London Chapter, NPP UK

Isaac Appiah-Kubi, the Chairman, West London Chapter, NPP UK, has vehemently refuted claimssuggesting that he has played a role in the alleged mismanagement of funds by the NPP UK communication team during the 2024 election

STATEMENT BELOW

I have been made aware of articles circulating on WhatsApp and social media, written by an anonymous individual, suggesting that I have played a role in the alleged mismanagement of funds by the NPP UK communication team during the 2024 election.

I want to clarify unequivocally that I have not taken any funds, nor have I been promised a succession to the Chairmanship by those spreading these claims.

Prior to the arrival of the branch’s communication engagement team, I was already in Ghana supporting the 2024 election campaign.

My campaign efforts included the following contributions:

1. Assisted in funding and strategizing to successfully deliver Dr. Bawumia’s vision of electric buses, aiming to reduce transport costs for the citizens of Ghana.
2. Joined the General Secretary’s (JFK) Special Greater Accra Campaign project alongside Director Kwabena Frimpong, focusing on the Okaikwei North, Trobu, Amasaman, Dome Kwabenya, and La Dadekotopon constituencies.
3. Self-sponsored radio and TV engagements with Director Kwabena Frimpong (Deputy director of protocols).
4. Conducted a house-to-house campaign in the La Dadekotopon constituency, among many other activities.

My invitation to join the media engagement team comprised other reputable individuals; I contributed my time, financial resources, and mobility to assist in campaigning for our party to retain power as a committed patriot.

In Ghana, I did not only work with the media engagement team; I also supported the branch in various ways, including:

1. Contributing GHC 10,000 to the branch youth wing for their 1 million T-shirt project.
2. Donating GHC 9,000 to the voluntary group (Bawumia Ladies) for the distribution of sanitary pads and other essentials to various constituencies in support of the campaign.
3. Providing GHC 2,000 to the Upper Manya Krobo executives during my first visit.
4. Contributing GHC 1,000 alongside selected patriots from the NPP UK branch to support the Parliamentary Candidate in the Adentan constituency.
5. Spending over GHC 25,000 to assist NPP UK branch members who traveled to Ghana in support of the campaign.

The members and wings I worked with are present here to verify these facts.

Given all that I did for the party, how could I possibly engage in the actions being alleged against me for the sake of a promised Chairmanship succession?

There is absolutely no truth to these allegations, and they should be entirely disregarded.

No one is promised such a succession, as this has never been the practice of our branch. Instead, we have a fair democratic election process for every qualified party member, in line with the principles of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition. I want to re-emphasize that I have not been promised any position.

Vacant positions within the party are contested, not given as gifts.

Please let me reiterate: I have taken no funds and received no promises.

Throughout my life, I have worked hard to build my reputation and livelihood, and I will continue to do so. As a private businessman and philanthropist, I have always aimed to assist my fellow Ghanaians and party members, both in the UK and Ghana, and I will continue to do so by the grace of God Almighty.

Our party is at a critical juncture, and we should direct our energy toward regaining our fortunes.

I urge all fellow patriots to focus on reuniting our great party and holding President John Mahama and his administration accountable so we can reclaim power in 2028.

Finally, the esteemed members of the NPP UK branch have elected the current executives for a four-year mandate. It is our responsibility to support and help them succeed, and I will continue to do so, encouraging all members to do the same.

God bless our homeland Ghana.
God bless the New Patriotic Party.
God bless the NPP UK.

Thank you.
Signed
Mr. Isaac Appiah-Kubi
Chairman, West London Chapter, NPP UK
