The International Fertiliser Development Centre( IFDC-Ghana) has organized a Fertilizer Research & Responsible Implementation(FERARI) workshop to support the government in improving the agricultural system.
The workshop was held in Kumasi on 14/09/21.
Speaking to journalists in a sideline interview, Program Director for IFDC-Ghana, Dr Prem Bindraban said they will make scientifically based recommendations to the government on how the agricultural system of the country can be improved.
Dr Prem Bindraban however said the organisation works with Universities and Research Centres to guide and support them.
The Project Coordinator and Head of Crop and Soil Science at AAMUSTED, Professor Mrs Margaret Essilfie hinted that the purpose of the workshop is to bring on board the trials they have had with the FERARI project.
Professor Mrs Margaret Essilfie stated that the outcome of the research will be disseminated to farmers.
“The workshop has been very useful. The students have learned much about Fertilisers and improving the efficiency of the fertilizers,” Francis Tetteh, Principal Research Scientist averred.
