If the New Patriotic Party (NPP) manages to get 30% votes from the Zongo areas, it will propel them to victory, a university lecturer has highlighted.
Mr. Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey, has called on the NPP’s Nasara coordinator, Aziz Futah to work harder and ensure party gets 30% votes from the Zongo areas if they aim to completely retire former President John Mahama from active politics.
“Aziz Futah should wake up, we have over 3 million votes from the Zongo areas and if we are to pick up 30% of it, John Mahama is completely finished”, Mr. Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey stated on the Wontumi Morning show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com.
Mr. Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey who identifies as Muslim insisted that the community sees vice President Bawumia as one of their own and are willing to vote for him to become President in the future.
According to him, there is no way the Zongo communities would vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of their “own” Bawumia.
“I worship with them and speak to them, the Zongo won’t turn their back on Bawumia… They said they are waiting for the NPP to elect him as flagbearer”, he said
