The Sunyani East Constituency Communication Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)Abubakari Yakubu aka Baba Amando, has dared the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to produce a letter directing the termination of appointments in 2017.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, the Sunyani East Communication Officer stated that if the NDC can provide concrete evidence of such a letter, he will leave politics for good.
The NDC has been criticizing the NPP for terminating appointments made by the previous government, but Baba Amando argues that there’s no proof to support this claim. He’s daring the NDC to produce a letter or document that justifies their allegations.
“I will leave politics if NDC is able to prove with any letter directing the termination of appointments in 2017.”
He admitted that, though Mr. Osafo Marfo has told the vetting committee that the then-elected president, Nana Akuffu Addo, will terminate all appointments made after 7th December 2016, the president has never written to direct his chief of staff for that to take effect.
The current president, John Mahama recently directed his chief of staff, Julius Debrah, to terminate all appointments made by the previous NPP government from 7th December to January 7th.
Baba Amando dared the NDC, stating that he will quit politics if they prove with any letter or document justifying that the NPP did the same
