I Was Buried Spiritually – Kweku Darlignton Explains Musical Hiatus

Ghanaian Rapper and songwriter, Kweku Darlington has spoken out about the difficulties that led to his year-long hiatus from music.

According to the rapper, he was spiritually attacked by some friends who later became his enemies and wanted to end his career.

In a recent interview on JoyPrime TV, Kweku Darlington said the severe attack caused him to pause his music career as he was “buried spiritually.”

“Sika Aba Fie” hitmaker claimed that the sickness was a result of an altercation between him and two other friends.

“I was down for the whole year, last year. It was so bad for me, I had friends who turned into enemies. It went far to juju and all that stuff. It was very crazy so you were not hearing of me all that time. It even came off my skin, I couldn’t go out.

“In a nutshell, I was buried with only my head outside. I was sick for the whole year. I was not eating; my mum was always crying,” he shared.

He stated that he sought treatment from a number of hospitals and herbalists but no improvement until he joined his Christian fellowship in the Atwea Mountains and received divine intervention.

“It wasn’t a hospital thing, it was a spiritual thing. It started with my eyes, I went to the clinic and they did all they were supposed to do but they couldn’t find the cause. They gave me drugs, injections and spectacles and all that, nothing happened.

“It was the congregation that I used to join back at Atwea mountains. I was there sometime and they were able to identify what happened to me. After that we had to clear all these things before I started taking drugs,” he narrated.

He continued: “I had a misunderstanding with somebody but I didn’t take it serious because boys boys…it shouldn’t go that far, it was just two friends, a male and a female.”
