“I Now Have Record To Show Ghanaians So Judge Me By My Achievements” – Akufo-Addo
President Nana Akufo-Addo has indicated that before he was elected as President in 2016 he didn’t have any record to show to Ghanaians because he had not ruled the country then but after four years since becoming the President, he is well positioned to showcase his record to Ghanaians and be judged accordingly.
Addressing the Chiefs and People of Ofoase monitored by Wontumionline.com as part of his working visit to the area, Nana Akufo-Addo said that, the electorate in 2016 voted ‘boom’ for him even though he had no record to show.
However with his current achievements as the President of the Republic, he has no doubt that the electorate will even be more motivated and vote massively for him
“The electorate have now appraised themselves of what I’m capable of doing so I expect them to vote boom-boom-boom for me come December for me to do more .”
The President assured the people that he has taken a serious note of the abandoned hospital project and the poor road network in the area which will soon be fixed.
In a response to an offer by the Ofoasehene Nana Appiah Ampam II that he will allocate a 40 acre land for the construction of a nursing training school in the area, Nana Addo promised to meet the Health Minister for a discussion on the matter.
Nana Appiah Ampam II commended President Akufo-Addo for his visit to the area.
He said that in the 2016 election, the people gave the NPP a total of 45,000 votes which represented 86.2% the total votes cast while NDC had only 6,000.
According to him, the area is a stronghold of the ruling party and as such, the government has to turn its attention to the lack of development in the area to encourage the people to continue to support the NPP.
“I don’t understand why we vote massively for NPP yet we have gained nothing in return and thus lag behind in terms of development.” He lamented.
Nana Appiah Ampam II appealed to President Akufo-Addo to support Nananom anytime they initiate a project.
