The Director of Political Affairs at the Office of the Chief of Staff, Frank Asiedu Bekoe, has said he has forgiven Johnny Hughes for telling a lie on him without cross checking his facts.
Johnny Hughes, a journalist with TV3 is reported to have delivered his verdict on a report issued by Professor Frimpong Boateng on galamsey without fact checking as every journalist is required to.
Reacting to the news on Wontumi Radio’s Ghana Nti Show hosted in Accra by Isaac Oteng, Frank Asiedu Bekoe popularly known as Protozoa stated that “I have forgiven him because it is clear he was not informed. The ethics of journalism shows that he has to crosscheck every story brought to him”.
He explained that he expects some media persons to read in between the line before running him down on the report which was based on mere allegations and not facts.
