Nigerian singer Spyro has opened up about his decision to embrace celibacy, revealing that he felt troubled after engaging in sex.
In a heartfelt confession, the artist explained that while sex initially felt good, he began to struggle with his conscience, particularly due to the fact that he wasn’t married to his partners.
Spyro shared that after every act of fornication, he felt a part of himself was taken away, leaving him troubled and uneasy.
He described his journey of struggling with these feelings for a while but eventually finding strength through prayer.
When the right moment came, he decided to cut ties with lingering connections and fully commit to his decision.
Although it hasn’t been easy, especially when faced with temptations during travels and events, Spyro remains resolute in his celibacy. He humorously noted that even promoters and “clean girls” have tried to test his resolve, but they now understand his stance.
Spyro further elaborates on his journey and decision in his new song titled “My Pledge,” where he expresses his commitment to reserving his bed for one person in the future.
