However, he is ready to reconcile his differences with the organisers if they approached him with the offer to be part of the awards scheme.
According to the Kakai hitmaker who was speaking on Hit FM’s U Say Wetin show hosted by Prince Tsegah recently, the VGMA board should have a “nicer approach” and agreeable terms to get him on board again.
“I don’t have VGMA at heart and I don’t have any enemy there. It’s just that things happen and we move on. They should also find someone from the office to come and invite me to come on board and it will be beautiful.
“VGMA is my ex-girlfriend, anytime they want to come back I am here. I feel because they are the ones organising this and there should be a nice approach,” he stated.
In 2019, the organisers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) banned Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy following a confrontation between the two that marred the scheme’s 20th anniversary.
However, the ban was lifted off Stonebwoy after two years and the Therapy artiste has since then been part of the awards ceremony which is thought to be the biggest show on the entertainment calendar in Ghana.
Last year, Stonebwoy made his comeback appearing in the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year category.
