‘I Applaud The Greater Accra Regional Minister: His Action Was In The Interest Of The State’- Ebenezer Doku (VIDEO)

The Greater Accra Director for Research and Elections , Ebenezer Doku, has applauded the actions of the Greater Accra Regional Minister saying the demolition exercise on the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR) land is in the interest of the state.

On Wednesday, 22nd June 2022, Hon. Henry Quartey the Greater Accra Regional Minister led members of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to carry out a demolition exercise on 200 acres fenced land that belongs to the State but under the attention of the CSIR.

The Institute has over 1,300 acres of land; over 900 acres have been invaded with the remaining 200 acres being sold out by unknown persons. The exercise of the council demolished building on the 200 aches of land.

Mr Doku speaking on the issue said, “although the 200 acres of land was fenced, some land guards who lack regard for authority broke the wall and went about selling the property. I’m surprised people bought the land when they knew it was protected.  We don’t build a nation with such attitude. We need to respect authority’’.

He indicated that it was alleged the land was sold by one Abass who is into the selling of properties.

“I applaud the Regional Minister for taking such bold step. His action is in the interest of the State. The team will have a stakeholder engagement with the people who have built outside the 200 acres of land and if they are to pay something to CSIR they will look at that’’, he added.
