Dr. Samson Anoma has turned the heat on former President John Dramani Mahama, following his unsubstantiated claims that the Electoral Commission (EC) thumb printed one million ballot papers to favour President Akufo-Addo.
In an interview on Wontumi TV monitored by Wontumionline, Dr. Anoma who is the head of Accounting Department at the Kumasi Technical University, stated that it was rather Mr. Mahama whose votes massively appreciated by 1 million votes in 2020, when compared to the 2026 elections.
“In 2016, what was his total vote? It was about 5 million. In 2020, he got 6 million, he had the 1 million… so I am sure the 1 million votes he is talking about went to him and he wants to cover it up”, Dr. Anoma said.

The EC has called on the Police to investigate claims made by former President John Mahama that the commission thumb printed one million ballot papers to favour President Nana Addo Dankwa in the 2020 presidential election.
At the Let the Citizens Know series held in Accra Monday afternoon (October 25), the EC described the claim by the former President as “false and untrue” and stressed that it was in the public interest for the police to initiate full-scale investigation that would require Mr. Mahama to provide evidence to the claim he made.
Adding to this, Dr. Anoma noted that John Mahama is linked to every corrupt act that has taken place in Ghana and doesn’t deserve to have made his votes appreciate in 2020.
“He (Mahama) is a lair and we must watch him carefully when dealing with him”, he quipped.
