Some serial callers on both sides of the political divide have developed strategies to extort moneys from politicians.
Their modus operandi could include faking collapses and demanding moneys to quickly see a doctor or touring around various government ministries and agencies on daily basis to collect money.
Speaking on the State of Ghana show, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo, spoke of how some serial callers came to his office to demand money from him because one of their friends had fainted only to later find the culprit sitting at an open place gulping chilled bottles of Guinness.
“Some serial callers once came to my office that their friend had collapsed and I gave them money to take him to hospital. I later I found the one they claimed had collapsed drinking Guinness when I followed my security guard to the Accra Sports stadium to watch football”, Mr. Boafo said.
