Horses Are Made For Battles, But Victory Comes From The Lord- Salam Mustapha Apologizes To NPP Youth
The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has offered an unreserved apology to the party’s youth wing for the humiliating defeat in the 2024 elections.
According to Mustapha, despite the youth wing’s tireless efforts, led by him, to ensure the party’s victory, their best efforts did not yield the desired outcome.
As he put it, “Horses are made for battles, but ultimate victory comes from the Lord,” referencing the Bible’s wisdom on the unpredictability of outcomes despite human efforts. Mustapha highlighted the immense efforts he and others put into the campaign, citing his personal experience of servicing his car twice a month and undertaking extensive road trips, covering over 120,000 kilometers.
While acknowledging that the party’s defeat cannot be solely attributed to the youth wing, Mustapha pointed out that government decisions often impact the party’s fortunes. He noted that the party’s executives are frequently blamed for the party’s losses, while key decision-makers, such as CEOs of state institutions, are not held accountable.
Mustapha emphasized that the party’s lack of deep involvement in government decision-making processes can be detrimental to its electoral prospects. He made these remarks during an interview with Oheneba Asiedu on Wontumi TV.
