Young, Pretty and Intelligent Hon. Mavis Nkansah Boadu wwon Big at Afigya Sekyere Constituency in the just held general elections.
She keeps doing exploits for her constituency, thus she was reelected by party delegates, and on 7th December by her constituents.
She went to parliament in 2016 at a young age of 26, she was the 2nd youngest parliamentarian to join the 7th parliament.
The growth Status of Ghanaian women in Parliament is gradually increasing as compared to the previous years and hopefully it will get better with time.
Mavis Nkansah Boadu born May 17, 1989 is a Ghanaian politician and the Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East constituency in the Ashanti Region.She tied the knot in 2017 and the marriage has been blessed with two beautiful children.
Her contest saw two gallant men, Mr Sarfo Doku and Mr.Charles Gyamfi , the former on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) and the latter an Independent Candidate losing to her in a wide difference, So far this is one amongs the highest gruesome defeat suffered by the NDC in the Afiagya Sekyere Constituency.
Mrs. Mavis Nkansah Boadu holds an MBA in International Business from Devry University,USA and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from University College of Management Studies, Kansas.She was an international student ambassador for Devry University- New York, from 2015 to 2016.
She is also a former Intern in a capacity as a human resource assistant for Kinsadus Company LTD,in 2012
In February 2017, she advocated for a strict enforcement of road traffic regulations to end carnage on the roads.She added that although the National Road Safety Commission (NSRC) deserves commendation for taking measures to enforce road traffic laws, they need to do more in terms of enforcement.

“I also want to express my gratitude to my campaign manager and to everyone else who played a part in this race leading to the win” she said addressing her people after being declared the winner.
