Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak were held by Premier League rivals Ebusua Dwarfs in a preseason friendly on Sunday as both sides prepare for the upcoming campaign.
The Phobians opened the scoring when striker Abednego Tetteh converted from the spot in the early minutes of the game, but Dwarfs pulled parity later on in the half through Ishmael Antwi.
Hearts, who are in Cape Coast for preseason camping paraded two teams for the game, with the first set looking likely coach Edward Odoom’s trusted team to start games in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The team consisted of number one goalie Richard Attah, Larry Sumaila Benjamin Afutu, Emmanuel Nettey, goalscorer Abednego Tetteh and youngster Kwadwo Obeng Jnr.
The 20 times Ghana Premier League champions are shaping up well for the new season after signing several players including expatriates Ademola Kuti and Lawali Mamane.
Patrick Razak who is returning to the team after a short spell in Guinea featured in the second team with the likes of captain Fatau Mohammed and Raddy Ovouka.
Hearts have no won the domestic league since 2008 and will be hoping to end that run in the upcoming season.
They next play Elmina Sharks and Medeama as the new season beckons.
