GPRTU Increases Transport Fare By 15%, Takes Effect On Saturday

The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has concluded negotiations on increment in fares pegging the percentage at 15%.

The Head of Communications for the GPRTU, Abass Ibrahim Morro stated that the new fares will take effect Saturday, 26/02/2022.

Speaking on Wontumi Radio Morning Show on Tuesday, Abass Morro indicated that the Transport Union has made the fares affordable to avoid conflicts between passengers and drivers.

He stressed that the new fares will be made available to the drivers so they paste in their cars.

Abass Morro hinted that the drivers have been cautioned not to charge passengers with the new fares until Saturday.
