Gov’t Has Made Funds Available For Persons Whose Ideas Can Create Jobs- Dr John Kumah
Deputy Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for Ejisu (MP), Dr John Ampontuah Kumah has asked young persons and potential entrepreneurs to make their ideas practical so they could attract the funds available for such at the Ministry.
Addressing participants at a business forum organised by ASA Job Placement Center in collaboration with Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), last Friday, Dr Kumah said government was ever ready to support persons whose business ideas can be practicable to the extent of creating job avenues.
Giving an example, the Deputy Minister said the National Entrepreneuriaship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) under the Ministry of Finance are still encouraging and helping young entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas so they can gain the necessary funding for it.
Dr Kumah therefore urged the Youth to continue to practicalize their ideas and concepts and use the NEIP platforms and all others under the Finance Ministry.
ADVICE:
The Deputy Minister asked participants not to be discouraged when their ideas fail to measure up to the threshold at NEIP or other platforms but continue to perfect them.
He noted that the owner of Chicken Man- restaurant failed to measure up to the Presidential pitch 3 years ago but he went to sit down and perfect his idea and now owns about 20 branches and pays close to 50 persons who are serving as workers and staff.
GENERAL OVERSEER:
Addressing the participants later on in the day, Reverend Ransford Obeng,General Overseer of CCC urged the Youth and young entrepreneurs to stick to principles that fester growth of business.
According to him, honesty, hardwork and respect are three most important attributes that enhance success of businesses and jobs.
Rev Obeng therefore urged the Youth to pray for new workable ideas, adding every great thing that has appeared on earth started with a thought or idea in someone’s mind.
Lastly, he urged that after doing all they know to start their businesses including planning and budgeting, prayers must be offered to God for his blessings to be successful.

Simon Akologo Austin, forum initiatior and Chief Executive of ASA Group of Companies commended the various speakers including former MCE for Obuasi, Richard Ofori Boadi and the seven others who spoke for giving off the best in experiences in entrepreneurial training.
He mentioned the success of the forum encourages ASA group to pull off a regional one before the end of the year and called on entrepreneurs and businesses who have ideas to come forward and partner ASA for the benefit of people living in Ashanti.
