Government To Introduce Tax Filing, Property Rate Applications
The Managing Director for Accra Digital Center, Kofi Owusu Nkansah has disclosed that plans are underway for government to introduce Tax Filing and Property Rate Applications.
He said the introduction of the Property Rate Application will ensure the smooth collection of the amount of money by the Metropolitan and Municipal Assemblies.
However, in an interview on Wontumi Morning Show, Kofi Owusu Nkansah uncovered that the adult population who were having Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) have increased from 4% to 86%.
“We have digitized hospital records and if NHIS start operating with the Ghana card we can save about $30 milion for issuing the card,” he said.
Kwadwo Owusu Nkansah said, the Akufo-Addo government has installed over 10,000 CCTV cameras to monitor vehicles to the already existing 800 it inherited.
He indicated that all the digitisation processes are executed by Ghanaian ICT gurus companies and not foreigners.
