Ghana’s Sports Ministry has issued a release indicating that it will not be able to airlift supporters to Cameroon for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer Kenneth Annang, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Sports Ministry is constrained in sending supporters to the tournament.
The Black Stars is currently in Doha, preparing ahead of the tournament which kicks off on Sunday January 9,2022.
Ghana we’re thrashed by African champions Algeria 3-0 in a friendly game on Wednesday played at the Education City Sports Stadium.
The four-time African champion will play their first game of the tournament against Morocco on January 10 in Yaoundé.
Ghana is housed in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
