Ghanaians Will Never Forgive NPP If They Refuse To Rescue Them- Dr. Fokuo

A lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Solomon Fokuo, has vehemently criticized the recent 14.75% electricity price hike by the NDC government, describing the additional levy as a “Double Punishment” levy.

He argues that Ghanaians are facing a double burden of increased electricity costs and persistent power outages, further exacerbating their economic hardships.

Dr. Fokuo contends that the levy is unfair, as citizens are paying for the government’s perceived incompetence in managing the power sector.

He attributes the challenges in the electricity sector to the lack of professional electricians, claiming that the government has replaced experienced personnel with unqualified individuals, thereby compromising the sector’s efficiency.

The lecturer warned that if the NPP fails to rescue Ghanaians from this precarious situation, they will face severe consequences, stating, “Ghanaians will never forgive NPP if they refuse to rescue them.”
